Tim Braun, BluTerra Founder, spent the first decade of his career managing portfolios for mission-based clients in socially and environmentally responsible investments.

He then set out on his own mission to build solutions for cities aspiring to become sustainable and restorative communities. His first ventures were in renewable energy, where he led teams of engineers inventing, siting and building wind and emerging hydropower systems.

Tim has been engaged in venture capital, raising money for his own companies and serving as an entrepreneur in residence at Elevate Ventures before joining EmNet in 2013.

At EmNet, Tim teamed with company leadership to grow the firm by 10X and helped orchestrate a successful exit to Xylem, one of the world's largest water tech companies. As VP of Enterprise Solutions at Xylem, Tim worked with cross-functional teams from digital, transport, treatment, analytics and metrology to help build high-impact solutions for water utilities.

Today, Tim and BluTerra’s partners collaborate closely with clean water sector leaders - connecting the dots to help high-impact companies tackle the sector's most pressing challenges. His wealth of experience in clean water, clean tech and entrepreneurship uniquely positions him to drive transformative changes through the success of BluTerra’s partners and the communities and companies they serve.
